About the band

John Covert - Keyboards/Vocals

John Covert has opened shows for Tower of Power, Simon & Garfunkel, Chad & Jeremy, Gary US Bonds, The Chiffons, Sons of Champlin and many others. A grand prize winner in the Nashville Music City Song Festival, his songs have been featured on VH1 ("Driven" with Grammy winner, Usher), TNN ("Nashville Now"), abc ("General Hospital"), A&E ("The Sopranos") network television shows. Vintage Crystal Image songs are showcased on European cd "California love-in" that also features legendary, Steppenwolf. Michael Samaritano - Guitar/Vocals

Michael recorded for Columbia Records at the age of 16. He opened shows for The Shirelles and The Chiffons, was a stuntman for 8 years in various commercials and movies, did shows with Patti La Belle, "Murray the K" (famous New York City DeeJay, producer & promoter) and performed in a theatrical production of "Joseph and the technicolor dreamcoat".

As an ex-movie stuntman, Michael brings excitement to the stage and audience with his crazy antics and excellent vocal renditions of artists like James Taylor, John Fogerty or his memory-filled 60's persona of "Bufallo" featured in the Hippie Party show!

Stephanie Farrell - Vocals/Bass

Bubbly, colorful, energetic! Stephanie is "the girl next door". She'll sing and dance her way into your heart. Stephanie started singing with John in June 2009 without any previous experience, after showing up to a guitar class. She and Steve joined John and Michael professionally in 2010, the same year that John encouraged her to pick up the bass and start playing. Steve Farrell - Harmonica/Guitar/Vocals

Steve can explode onstage with fiery blues/rock harmonica solos or weave beautiful soft, soulful notes into songs. Steve joined Stephanie in a beginner class with John in 2009 with John and before long was playing in shows with the band. In 2010 he added guitar to his repetoire and you will often see him switch from one to the other!

A fantastic photographer, Steve leaps into the crowd and gets great action stills and video of the audience and the band during performances.

Jerry Tamburino - Drums/Vocals

Jerry Tamburino was born to drum.  His name, 'Tamburino', means 'little drummer' in Italian. He has been performing professionally since the mid-1970's.   As the drummer for Crystal Image he provides the solid, driving dance beat for a variety of musical genres, including rock, blues, country and standards.   He also belts out great vocals to hit songs like Wild Night (Van Morrison/ John Cougar Mellencamp) or Take it Easy (The Eagles).  On a personal note, During the Christmas season, he also appears as 'Santa' to many people, young and old alike, throughout the Sacramento area.
